Zap the PRAM

May 11, 2004

Sometimes old tricks just do the job. If you've got a PowerMac G5 that seems to power up, but the screen never turns on, zap the PRAM. Do this by holding down the APPLE-OPTION-P-R keys right after you turn the computer on (at about the time you hear the bong, not too long after), and keep them held down until you hear a SECOND bong. Let go and you just may get your screen back.
